Create a High Impact Fundraiser
Here are three tips to help you create a high impact fundraiser:
1) Let Chocolate be the Central Theme of the Event
We suggest that you hold a chocolate-themed fundraising event which is a great way to bring a group of people together, make a huge difference in the lives of others, and enjoy the pleasures of chocolate.
- a fine chocolate tasting,
- a chocolate and wine pairing event,
- a chocolate cupcake and
- a chocolate bake-off, to name just a few.
Basically anything you can dream up that’s delicious, chocolatey and will bring people together to do great things!
2) Set a Goal
For the greatest impact, we recommend setting a goal for your group’s fundraising event. It’s important to know your objectives beforehand to help focus your efforts and be successful. Goals can be purely financial or even better, directed at donating a specific tool or project — like a well or 5 bikes. This can be particularly useful in helping guests or sponsors understand the purpose of the event and why their participation is critical.
3) Let us help!
For the past several years, the Global Cocoa Project team has managed or assisted others in managing fundraising events, so please don’t hesitate to contact us if we can answer a question, connect you with a chocolatier or offer ideas.
